School of Business: Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Business

If you’re thinking of a fast-paced career in the highly competitive world of business, then you might like to sign up for either our Level 2 or Level 3 Business Diplomas. Level 2 will introduce you to the world of business, looking at topics such as marketing, entrepreneurship, finance and business skills and having a chances to apply them in real-life scenarios.
Level 3 will look at the advanced worlds of marketing, events, finance, the economy, international business and management, applied to real-life scenarios.

Entry Requirements

GCSE grades 4 in English and maths and preferably 2 other GCSEs at grade 4 and above, suitable Business qualification or evidence of Business experience.

What do I need to bring?

USB drive (16GB min), file, notepad and pen.

Assessment/Exam information

Units will be assessed using a variety of assessment methods including written reports; role plays within business contexts, presentations using modern technologies (e.g. Online portfolio's; digital video; PowerPoint; prezzie and visual displays).

Other information

A typical Level 3 study programme will include the subject area chosen. GCSE or Functional skills English and/or Maths (if applicable). Work Experience, Online learning, Enrichment and Tutorials. You will have the opportunity to meet other students in clubs and societies. You will also meet experts in the subject area throughout the academic year and take part in the off-site activities.

What can I do next?

Progress onto our ABE Business qualifications, at levels 4, 5 and 6 or a university degree.

Any extra costs

Students aged 19+ will pay tuition fees, plus exam, registration and material costs.
There is a compulsory equipment and trip fee of £100.00 that will provide payment for all of the trips and excursions for the whole academic year.
