Level 2 CG Technical Certificate in Hairdressing

If you have a passion for hairdressing and have artistic flair, then you should consider joining the Technical Certificate in Ladies Hair course. You’ll gain considerable knowledge and develop the practical skills needed for further training, or for employment in the hairdressing industry. Year 1 of the course will teach you the art of hair shampooing, conditioning, styling, cutting, dressing and setting. In Year 2, the extended Diploma, you will go into depth with techniques and applications of colouring, including highlights, lowlights, bleaching etc. You will also have the opportunity to take part in hair shows and competitions and visit a number of trade exhibitions.

Entry Requirements

Admission is subject to a successful interview, enthusiasm, patience, good communication and artistic flair. A good level of maths and English is desirable.

What do I need to bring?

Notepad and pen. *See under fees. You may be required to supply models/clients for practice/treatments on during sessions.

Assessment/Exam information

This programme follows a series of units that encompass all the information and practical work required by the Awarding Body VTCT.
A portfolio of evidence is obtained by completing practical services, assignments and written/oral questions.
