Our apprenticeships are available for individuals who are employed in the food and hospitality industry and who have the ambition to become trained and skilled chefs. Apprentices will study areas such as Health and Hygiene, Safety, Security, Handling Knives and Working Relationships. Preparation and cooking units could include meat, fish, sauces and soups, vegetables, dough products, pasta, rice, egg dishes, cakes, sponges and desserts.

Professional Cookery Apprenticeship Courses

Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship

For individuals looking to train as a Chef. Working in a professional kitchen, apprentices will learn how to carry out basic functions in all areas. Apprentices will cover areas such as culinary skills, producing dishes and menu items, meat preparation, reviewing and refreshing menus, basic costing including profit and loss, food safety, liaison with people and relevant business skills.

Level 3 Chef de Partie Apprenticeship

For individuals wanting to enhance their culinary skills and build upon their current professional cookery experience. Having the ability to work independently and lead a team in a busy and challenging kitchen environment. Producing food in high volumes and will learn highly methodical organisation skills.
