Animal Care Courses

Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Animal Management

This qualification is for post-16 learners and is aimed at those who aspire to work within the animal management industry. You will complete 15 units of which eight are mandatory and three are external, which can include: Animal Breeding and Genetics, Animal Biology, Animal Welfare and Ethics, Practical Animal Husbandry, Animal Behaviour, Animal Health and Diseases, Work Experience in the Animal Sector an Investigative Research Project.

Level 2 BTEC Technical Diploma in Animal Care

This course has been developed to provide you with the skills, techniques, personal development and attributes necessary to enter employment in the animal care and husbandry industries. The course combines practical hands on training with animal behaviour. During the course you will study; Feeding and maintenance of healthy animals, Maintaining animal accommodation and Grooming and animal welfare. This is the ideal course for anyone wanting to work in the industry and for someone seeking a 4 GCSE equivalent qualification gained by doing something they love.
