HNC General Engineering


This is a two year, part-time level 4 programme which will extend knowledge of those working in a variety of roles within the engineering sector.
Students will develop their understanding of working practices throughout their studies, which may facilitate further career development opportunities.

• Quality and Process Improvement
• Electrical Systems and Fault Finding

Foundation Degree (FdENg) Manufacturing Engineering


The Foundation Degree programme offered in the Engineering Professional Department is aimed at consolidating and extending the skills and knowledge of those working in the engineering sectors.

Essential subject knowledge content has been designed in collaboration with employers, professional sector bodies and accreditation from Oxford Brookes University. Progression opportunities from the FdEng is through a 1 year, day release, Top-Up BEng (Hons) in Manufacturing Engineering also, to be, accredited by Oxford Brookes University.
