Angela Pimble

Level 3 | Early Years Apprenticeship

Angela Pimble, 37, decided that she wanted a career change after finding her true calling when she became a mother.

Angela’s children had started pre-school where she was attending a stay and play session but whilst there she ended up helping out with the other kids - that’s when she realised that she wanted to do this as a job, professionally.

Angela previously worked as an Administrator for a construction company, but now she is following her dreams and is currently doing the Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship at Swindon College. She plans to complete this and hopes to become a Room Supervisor at the school.

“Since starting the qualification I have realise the amount of work that goes on at a pre-school and the work they do to keep children safe.

“It’s great because I get to do daily tasks in the pre-school and I get to work with the children two days a week. Also, I feel privileged that I get to work one to one with a child who has additional learning needs. This is something I really enjoy and have a passion for.

“My assessor has been very helpful with my college work and my employer has also been very supportive.”
