Swindon College students support Swindon Young Carers

Four Swindon College students Connor Foster, Callum Stevens, Jamie Davies and Jordan Prince, along with Lauren Mill who is a volunteer in the Wellbeing Centre, were keen to recognise young carers at the college and across Swindon, organising the “Swindon College’s Young Carer Awareness Day”.   They held events to raise money for the Swindon Young Carers charity.  These included a staff dress down day, a bake sale and activities held to highlight some of the issues that young carers have to juggle alongside their studies.

In total the events raised £192.83 and a cheque was presented to Ann Giles from Swindon Carers by the students and the Principal, Steve Wain.
