1. What type of Business courses do you offer?
There’s a number of BTEC Diploma courses available at Swindon College, each designed to prepare you for the competitive world of business. Check out our website or prospectus for more details.

2. What different course levels are available to study?
There are Level 2 and 3 BTEC Qualifications.

3. What grades and qualifications do I need to enrol?
A Level 2 course requires four GCSEs at grade 3 and above, including English and Maths, or an equivalent. Level 3 courses requires four GCSEs at grade 4 and above, including English and Maths, or an equivalent.

4. How long do the courses take to complete?
Depending on which course you choose, and the level, they take either one year, or two years to complete. A Fast Track course, however, will take just one year. They are all full-time study.

5. What kind of work will I be doing?
You will study fundamentals of business, including; understanding marketing, events, finance, the economy, international business, social media and, also, how to apply them to real-life scenarios.

6. What about work experience?
We enjoy close links with local business, so there’s plenty of opportunity for students to undertake work placements.

7. What kind of careers will be open to me once qualified?
You can enter the workplace in an entry level role, or, consider doing an Apprenticeship.  You can consider a career in the public or private sectors – working in finance, accounting, marketing, human resources, real estate and sales to name a few, and at Level 3 go on to Higher Education/University.
